You step outside and your car is gone! Your car was probably towed by either: DOT (traffic), NYPD ( Police), the city marshal or sheriff. You must contact your local police precint to assist you in locating your car. 

 

Reasons your vehicle could be towed away: Expired inspection or regestrastion,parked on bus stop, no parking anytime, fire, hydrant, school, church, hospital, federal building, fire house,  street closure, construction site, block party relocation, loading zone repo and differnt events. 

 

Keep in mind a private tow company can remove your vehicle from a private driveway and lastly your vehicle could have been stolen.

The towing fees are:                                We accept cash, debit card, 

Regular Tow fee: $185.00                        credit card &   money order.  

Heavy Duty Tow fee: $370.00                  NO PENNIES ACCEPTED     

Overnight Storage fee: $20.00

Immobilization Devise (Boot): $185.00

DIRECTIONS  By Car: 

From North Brooklyn, Queens & Long Island:
Take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (West) to the Atlantic Avenue Exit. At the exit ramp, make a left onto Columbia Street (Southbound). Follow Columbia Street to its end, turn right and bear left around the back of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel entrance and then turn right onto Columbia Street. The Pound is on the pier at the waterfront.

From South Brooklyn & Staten Island:
Take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (Gowanus Expressway) (East) toward the Battery Tunnel. Get off at the Hamilton Avenue exit. Proceed straight past the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Bear left and go around the back of the tunnel entrance. Then turn right onto Columbia Street. Follow Columbia Street to its end - the Pound is on the pier at the waterfront.

By Public Transportation: 

Take the F train to the 4th Avenue Station. Transfer to the B77 bus (Westbound) to Columbia Street & Lorraine Street. Walk four blocks (south) on Columbia Street to its end - the Pound is on the pier at the waterfront. OR 

Take the R train to the Prospect Avenue Station. Transfer to the B77 bus (Westbound) to Columbia Street & Lorraine Street. Walk four blocks (south) on Columbia Street to its end - the Pound is on the pier at the waterfront.

 

              The towing fees are: 

  • Regular Tow fee: $185.00

  • Heavy Duty Tow fee: $370.00

  • Overnight Storage fee: $20.00

  • Immobilization Devise (Boot): $185.00

NOTE: If the vehicle is not redeemed on the same day that it was towed, an additional overnight storage charge of $20 will be charged to the vehicle each night the vehicle is held at the Tow Pound.
